"Avagini" Rouge - poludesertnoe red wine made from the local autochthonous grape varieties: Areni Noir, Avago and Tozot that perfectly mature and acquire a high sugar content. Wine is produced by traditional technology incomplete natural fermentation wort followed by the addition of alcohol, stopping the fermentation process. Since the sugar content in the grapes does not exceed 16-18%, then the wine is poludesertnym. After fermentation, "Avagini" certainly aged in oak barrels, so the wine becomes more profound and intense.
The origins of the winery "Maran" go into the middle of the XIX century, it was then Aryutyun son of Sarkis and Maran, defeated in his native village Artabuynk beautiful vineyard and named it in honor of his mother. Since then, the whole race was called Maranents and winery, modern history is underway since 1991 - "Maran". Today, agriculture is one of three leaders in the production of wine in the legendary Vayots Dzor region, which is historically the center of the wine industry in Armenia. Vineyards company occupy 15 hectares.
In 1996, the winery "Maran", together with French partners, has launched a new program based on a combination of age-old national traditions of Armenian winemaking with French technology. This led to the birth of the new fine wines that are already highly appreciated by specialists of many competitions. In 2002 the company expanded its range by launching the production of pomegranate wine, and later - the fruity vodka "Bark" (hawthorn, apricot and dogwood).
