Reviews of purchase Lucien Le Moine, Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru AOC, 2012
Wine of deep ruby color.
The wine shows a gorgeous, rich flavor with notes of black currant, with firm tannins and a long finish.
The aroma of wine - charming symphony, woven from notes of juicy black fruit, complemented by earthy nuances and graphite.
The wine is recommended to serve French cuisine, stew, venison and cheese.
Lucien Le Moine - a small wine house, created by Mounir Saouma and Rotem marriage. In the late 1980s, the winemaker from Lebanon Mounir Saouma went to the Trappist monastery in the Middle East. For a long time he worked at the monastery vineyards, where he learned to create wine. Subsequently, he studied viticulture and winemaking in Montpellier, and then worked for six years in Burgundy and other regions of France, as well as in California. During this time he became a devotee of the traditional methods of winemaking. In 1999, Munir decided to realize all that he had seen and experienced, and with his wife, Rotem has created a small cellar for the production of exceptional wines. Mounir Saouma Rotem and soon became one of the most talked about in Burgundy producers, created a number of popular wines of the region. All the work in the cellar and Munir Rotem do manually.
Lucien Le Moine name consists of two parts: Lucien means "light", and Le Moine translated as "Monk", in honor of the monastery, where Munir studied and gained experience for the production of wine. Over the years spent in Burgundy, Munir and Rotem met many excellent growers - owners of the best parts of Grands Crus and Premiers Crus, in which a pair of each year buys a better yield. Every year they are reconsidering their choice depending on the quality of a particular vineyard and vintage. One feature of "Lucien Le Moine" is that the economy will never produce more than 100 barrels of wine. "More wine production will deprive me of the possibility of personal contact with each barrel. Each barrel has to be perfect, starting with the selection, aging and bottling up in the bottle. I never mix wine to hide even the slightest mistake. Our commitment is to produce wines of exceptional purity "- explains Mounir.
Wines of Lucien Le Moine House awarded the best reviews and are among the best in France. Many times they are ranked in the top "100 best wines in the world." A very famous Robert Parker Munira of "The Wine Advocate" calls "bright, hard-working man, who for several years has become one of the best independent producers of Burgundy."
