Once a famous French oenologist Professor Emile Peynaud said: "... ever Bierso become one of the best regions in Europe, producing red wines." These words were echoed in the minds of a few wine enthusiasts who decided to bring them to life. The combined one goal, they created in 2004, a beautiful complex of ultramodern winery Losada Vinos de Finca. It is located near the village of Pieros, on the famous pilgrimage route of St. James (Camino de Santiago de Kampostella). Vineyards are 22 small farm plot, planted exclusively for indigenous Bierso variety Mencia. The old vines are on the verge of extinction, restored a few years. Contained in local soils, slate and red clay positively affect the quality of the berries: the skin becomes thinner, the structure is rounded, and the resulting wines are softer. Fine acidity gives the wine elegance and is the main feature of the wines Lozada. Viticulture is carried out in harmony with the environment without the use of herbicides and pesticides.

Lozada winery covers an area of 2500 sq.m, striking uniqueness of its design and invites you to enjoy one of the most beautiful panoramic views Bierso.
