Under this brand are produced single malt whiskey, which are produced by little-known distilleries, facing the threat of closure and disappearance. From 1980 to 1995, in Scotland was closed 29 distilleries, some of which are entirely ceased to exist, and some indefinitely suspended its work. The reasons for closing are different, but it would be a pity to lose all whiskey produced at these distilleries. Each of these hard liquor has its own unique properties that could never be obtained with production at any other distillery. It is for this reason, Gordon and McPhail for many years bought up in bulk malt from little-known distilleries, thus saving them from closing.
