Langenlois Riesling - a delicious white wine with discreet aroma with notes of apricot and peach, and refreshing taste with a spicy aftertaste. Riesling grapes are grown for 10-30-year-old vines Kamptal. Crop is harvested by hand in 20-kg boxes from the mid to late October. After careful selection, berries for 4-12 hours was macerated. Spontaneous fermentation at a temperature of 20 ° C is carried out in stainless steel tanks and lasts for 4-8 weeks. Aged wine on the lees in stainless steel tanks for 4 months. Producer's description
Born into a family of winemakers, Fred Loimer Jr. immediately decided to continue the family tradition. After study and work abroad, he returned to his father's winery, to use their knowledge in the production of wine. In 1998, a year after the management of the economy fell into the hands of Fred Jr., he acquired the historic vaulted brick cellar, a former cellar Haindorf Castle. With the help of the architect Andreas Burghardt Fred Loymer renovated basement, adding on top of a building in a minimalist style, which serves as an office and a tasting room.
Since 1999, wine farms Loimer stored in the historic cellar in perfect, natural temperature conditions. In addition, the grape varieties Riesling and Vetlinger with individual sites are ranked among the best wines of Austria and the world.
