Lo Sparviere, Franciacorta Brut is a white dry sparkling wine that is produced exclusively from the Chardonnay grapes grown on the historic vineyards of Lo Sparviere in the communes of Monticelli and Provalio d'Iseo. The soils of vineyards, consisting of clay and silt, give Chardonnay a pronounced minerality, as a result of which the wines from it exhibit a remarkable harmony of complexity and elegance, and their crispy, dry taste shows the union of fruit and mineral notes. The maturation of wine on the sediment takes at least 48 months. The annual production is about 20,000 bottles.
The Lo Sparviere winery , owned by the family of Gussali Beretta, is located in the province of Brescia, in the Franciacort region, whose wine traditions date back to the times of Ancient Rome. The area of the estate covers 60 hectares, of which 25 hectares are given to the vines of the Chardonnay and Pinot Nero varieties. The Lo Sparviere winery owes its name to the hawk, which is depicted on the coat of arms decorating the fireplace in the main hall of the villa, which was recently restored in its pristine beauty. Wines are produced and aged in the old vaulted cellar of the 16th century. The strict selection of high-quality grapes, obtained exclusively from our own vineyards, the intentional retention of the yield at a very low level, as well as the hundred-year experience of winemaking and the talent of the masters working in the company are the key to the perfectly balanced, quality wines of La Sparvier.
