Red wine from the Valpolicella Classico Le Salette is made from a blend of five grape varieties - Corvina, Korvinone, Rondinella, Molinara and Sangiovese. Wine "Valpolicella Classico" is produced by classical technology, it can be drunk now or within the next five years.
In the north-east of Italy is the largest wine-growing region of the country - Veneto, stretching from the Alps to the Adriatic Sea. In its central part, in the mountains there is a small village of Fumane (Fumane), whose inhabitants in 1860 built the sanctuary of Le Salette in honor of the Madonna, to protect their vineyards from the phylloxera epidemic.
