Reviews of purchase Lavau, "EnvyFol" Merlot, Pays d'Oc IGP, 2020
Wine of dark cherry-red color.
The taste of wine is generous, but energetic, fresh and elegant, with hints of blackberry, green and black pepper, good balance, rounded tannins and a dry finish of medium length.
The seductive aroma of wine is presented as a harmonious tandem of sweetish hints of vanilla and notes of ripe fruit.
The wine is perfect for grilled meats, red meat and game dishes, cheeses.
"EnvyFol" is an invitation to have fun and share life's simplest pleasures. The label for Envifol wines was a drawing forgotten in Lavoe's grandfather's closet since 1967. His grandchildren drew inspiration from this drawing to recreate their ancestor's vision of the way of life.
"EnvyFol" Syrah - elegant red dry wine, which is used for the manufacture of Syrah grapes grown in the Pays d'Oc. It has a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild winters. The area is also known for its progressive approach to wine production. Harvested at the moment of optimal maturity, the grapes are completely de-stemmed. Vinification and aging of wine take place in stainless steel vats to preserve bright varietal aromas.
The history of the Lavaux family is permeated with her passion for wine and love for her land. It began in the 19th century in Saint-Emilion, continued in Tunisia, and then in the Rhone Valley. And wherever the members of the Lavo family were, they planted vineyards. In 1965, this hobby turned into a serious enterprise, which over time became a respected producer of the region. Vineyards farms are located in almost all the names of the southern part of the Rhone Valley. Long-term partnerships connect the company with more than 350 winegrowers.
