Mastroberardino family that produces Lacrima Christi del Vesuvio, has long been part of the Italian winemaking tradition and culture. Today their production is based in Artipalda, heart of the wine region of Irpinia, where it is still preserved ancient wine cellars. According to sources, in the middle of the 18th century one of Berardino, get professional title of "Master" for the first time took up the wine.
