Reviews of purchase "Koonunga Hill" Shiraz Cabernet, 2011
The wine is dark red in color.
Wine with a juicy, rich, sweet flavor with deep tones of dark fruit and berries (plums, dark cherries). Shiraz provides juiciness and taste fruitiness, Cabernet Sauvignon - balanced structure with fine-grained tannins and a long finish with hints of dark chocolate.
Complex aroma of the wine is rich, with notes of Christmas cake and pudding summer, subtle nuances of cinnamon and spicy oak.
Wine will be perfect pair gnocchi with beef stew, eggplant parmesan, Moroccan pie with lamb, blends perfectly with the rich Mediterranean dishes based on tomatoes.
Wine "Koonung Hill" Shiraz Cabernet is created from premium grapes from vineyards in South Australia, including McLaren Vale, Barossa and the Limestone Coast. Blend of wines made in the traditional Australian style: Shiraz gives the wine a fleshy fruit flavor, while the Cabernet Sauvignon provides a fine-grained tannins and balanced structure. After fermentation, the majority of the wine matured for 12 months in American and French oak barrels, and a smaller component was kept in stainless steel tanks to preserve the fruitiness in the spotlight. Staying true to its roots and style, "Koonunga Hill" Shiraz Cabernet shows steady progress from vintage to vintage. Increasing the aroma and richness of fruit, smoothness and depth of this wine develops outstanding storability in the medium term. Thus, the 2011 vintage will be developed until 2018. In 2002, the wine "Koonunga Hill" Shiraz Cabernet was included in "Top 50 New World Wines" by Decanter.
