Confectionery factory Kommunarka has its history since 1905, when the coffee shop-confectioner George Rachkovsky opened in Minsk. Five years later the coffee shop was transformed into a shop and a factory of sweets, and in 1914 it was called "Georges". At the end of the Civil War, in 1926, the Confectionery collective "Progress" was founded on the basis of the enterprise. The collective of the factory honored the twelfth anniversary of the revolution, renaming it Kommunarka.
In 1931, in the suburb of Minsk, as a result of the first five-year plan, the building of a new confectionery factory was erected. It was there that the expanded production of Kommunarka was postponed. The new dragee shop was used to create the first dragee in the Belarus SSR. The company's products were sold throughout the Union, using the constant love of consumers. In the years after the end of the Great Patriotic War, the technologists engaged in the development of new sweets. The results of their work, such as candy "Capital", "Alenka" and "Little Red Riding Hood", are now considered a classic of confectionery art.
Now the company Kommunarka exports its sweets and sweets to the EU, Asia, Russia and the UAE. Cocoa beans for chocolate are processed directly in the factory, where a thorough control of freshness and quality. Modern production lines and selected raw materials keep Kommunarka's products in the lead of the Belarusian confectionery industry.
