Domain History Avetisyan and wine "Kataro" very long. The first vines for the future of the wine farms were planted in the early XX century, the great-grandfather of the current owner of the vineyard. Despite the difficult path of a century, the family Avetisyan managed to preserve and revive their ancestral vineyards and in 2010 set up production of fine wines under the brand name "Kataro", which are now known not only at home in Armenia.
Domain Avetisyan vineyards cover 10 hectares and are located at an altitude of 740-800 meters above sea level in the southern region of Armenia, Artsakh, near the village of Tor. A favorable local climate, the soft sun, fertile soil and a careful, diligent care of vines contribute to the birth of the wine "Kataro" that absorbed the nobility of the terroir and the beauty of the surrounding nature.
