Reviews of purchase Johnson Estate, Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough
The wine is light yellow.
The taste of wine is distinguished by excellent purity and bright acidity. Classical notes of tropical fruits turn into a soft, mineral aftertaste with light honey nuances.
In the elegant aroma of the wine there are shades of passion fruit, grapefruit, lemon, subtle hints of gooseberries, bay leaves and freshly cut grass.
The wine goes well with everyday dishes, steamed fish, vegetables, salads, soft cheeses and white meat.
Johnson Estate, Sauvignon Blanc - a classic white wine in which fruit shades are well expressed. His bouquet is inherent in complexity and tenderness, which indicates a long exposure time spent on the lees.
The family-owned Johnson Estate Winery has 160 hectares of vineyards in the lower Waihopai Valley, descending terraces to the Omaka River. The first sections were broken in 1993 by Brian and Ian Johnson. They can be called pioneers of viticulture in the area. They were the first to start growing grapes here, first selling it to other companies, and then setting up their own wine production.
