Family Roger comes from an old family of winemakers from the village of Bue. The first mention of them refers to the beginning of the XVII century. Jean-Max Roger had inherited from his parents in the early 1970s, the size of the vineyard of four hectares. Starting with a small patch, Jean-Max gradually expanded its vineyards. Today, the winery Jean-Max Roger owns 26 hectares in Sancerre AOC along the Loire River, as well as household owns 5 hectares of vineyards located in Menethil Salon AOC. Jean-Max Roger grows two grape varieties: Sauvignon Blanc for white wines and Pinot Noir for red and pink. As a merchant, the winery is Roger wines from Pouilly-Fumé region, located in front of Sancerre on the left bank of the Loire. Since 2004, Jean-Max is assisted by two of his three sons - Etienne and Thibault, get rich wine experience in France and abroad. His third son, Xavier, is also involved in winemaking in the Languedoc-Roussillon region.
