"Aimery Sieur d'Arques" is one of the largest wine producers in the Languedoc region. Of particular importance here is the terroir and the exposition of the vineyards. The Mediterranean climate plays a favorable role. Despite the fact that the vineyards are located in the very south of France, the climate is tempered by cooler winds blowing from the Atlantic and the Pyrenees. The winery was founded in 1946 and today combines the most advanced technologies in the field of winemaking, while not forgetting the age-old traditions. As a result, amazing wines of high quality are created.
The history of the winery goes back to 1531, when the monks of the Benedictine Order created the world's first sparkling wine for a century before Pierre Perignon invented the method of champagne. The wine was called "La Blanchette de Lima". The first mention of this wine dates back to the end of the XVI century, when Señor D'Arc, land owner in Lima, drank sparkling wine "La Blanchett". In memory of this historic moment winemakers of the Languedoc province decided to name their winery "Emery Sier D'Arc".
