The taste of wine is clean, well-defined, dense, powerful, balanced with glycerin texture and polished tannins, not weighted by alcohol.

The farm is located between the towns of Monasterio Pesquera and Valbuena, the so-called "golden mile" wine region of Ribera del Duero in Spain. Vast areas of vineyards in this area in the XIX century belonged to a wealthy family Lekanda, which became one of the pioneers of winemaking traditions in Ribera. In the early 90-ies of XX century winery and cellars were rebuilt and upgraded more modern equipment. All work carried out by the French architect Philippe Mazières, previously reconstructed cellar Chateau Margaux, d'Ikem, Prior-Lichine and others.
Chief enologist economy since 1990 is the famous Peter Sisseck, born in Copenhagen and the owner of the legendary Dominio de Pingus economy. Since its inception Hacienda Monasterio it helps local oenologist Carlos de la Fuente, received diplomas wineries universities in Montpellier and Miguel de Cervantes in Valladolid. Manor total area of 120 hectares, of which 70 hectares are vineyards, located on the right bank of the river Douro. The main part is occupied by vines Tinto Fino (Tempranillo local variety), and the remaining space planted with Cabernet, Merlot and Malbec. With its location and, of course, talent oenologists, wine Hacienda Monasterio annually receive high marks from international and local Italian critics.
