German winery is located in the town of Gunderloh Nakenhaym, in the south-east of Frankfurt, close to the Rhine. In 1890 he founded the banker Carl Gunderloh, he acquired vineyards, including a fairly large portion of the famous vineyard area Nakenhaym Rothenberg 8.2 hectares, which is currently 80% of its area of 10 hectares. Since the foundation of the estate owned by the same family, today it is controlled by the fifth generation of the family, is Agnes and Fritz Hasselbach, Altenkirchen. The vineyards are located exclusively on the banks of the Rhine and are grown only Riesling grapes. From the outset, the pursuit of the highest quality is the main principle of the economy.
Rothenberg vineyard, which translated from German means "red mountain" got its name from the red shale strip, folding facilities here soil.
