"Valcanzjria" - Italian dry white wine made from a mixture of several clones of Chardonnay, are grown on the plain of Chiaramonte Gulfi, and indigenous white grapes in eastern Sicily: Carricante and Albanella. Muti vineyard, located in the municipality of Chiaramonte Gulfi at an altitude of 400 meters above sea level, was planted in 1999. The density of 8,300 vines per hectare. The grapes are harvested in the second half of September. Fermentation occurs in steel containers at controlled temperatures. After that, the wine is poured into stainless steel vats where conducted malolactic fermentation and aging for 8 months. A few months before the release of the wine is aged in bottles in the cellar of the winery.
The history of the winery Gulfi began in 1996 thanks to Vito Catania and his family. Business card is a red grape Nero d'Avola, brought to the winery in popularity around the world. In the production of wine along with modern technologies used traditions of Italian winemaking. Currently, the company owns 70 hectares Gylfi gorgeous organic vineyards in the eastern part of Sicily, and from Nero d'Avola produced six different wines, striking in its depth and richness.
