In the blend of six varieties of red grapes dominates Corwin - Italian wine grape variety that is different fruit flavors and aromas of cherries, raspberries and flowers. In Italy, Corwin is grown mainly in the northeast, in the Veneto region. This variety is usually used in mixtures of red - Amarone Valpolicella or.
Wine "Poyega" created by a special technique "Ripasso" developed winemaker Masi in 1960 and registered under the trademark "Ripasso", but recently it began to be used by other manufacturers in the region. The idea behind this technique is quite time-consuming that the Valpolicella Classico Superiore blend re-fermented with the skins before fermentation slightly dried grapes used to make Amarone. The result is a wine with a unique complex flavor, more dense, viscous and rich than the Valpolicella Classico, with a powerful aroma of candied cherries. Wine fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, and exposure - 50-gektolitrovyh French oak barrels for 12 months. "Pojega" is made only in the best years, produced in a limited and numbered edition.
Wine "Pojega" noted an adequate assessment experts and wine critics: vintage 2006 was awarded a gold medal at the "Berliner Wein Trophy" in 2009 and 2009 vintage won among connoisseurs of the epithet "the best Ripasso that money can buy."
Winery Gereri Ritstsardi occurred in the Veneto region as a result of the union of two ancient and powerful Veronese wine producers: graphs Gereri - owners of the centuries-old manor in Bardolino vineyards and cellars, and graphs Ritstsardi who bought their vineyards in Negrar in 1678, built shortly thereafter cellar Poyega. Gereri family also owned a small farm in Dolce Valdadidzhe and place in Soave, vineyards and cellar in Kostedzhole - in the heart of the classic that was purchased in 1970.
Today, the company belongs to the family Guerrieri Rizzardi Ritstsardi. It remains a family business and owns vineyards in four areas for the production of Verona Classico wines Bardolino, Valpolicella, Soave and Valdadidzhe, being one of the largest landowners in the region. Office of the company is based in Gereri Ritstsardi Bardolino in a historic building, owned by the family since 1450 Gereri. All grapes are from our own vineyards, cultivated organically and in each region there is a cellar for vinification.
