Reviews of purchase Gian Piero Marrone, "Carlot" Barbera d'Alba DOC
Wine of intense ruby red color.
Dry taste of the wine due to aging in oak barrels has acquired a strong character. Well-balanced acidity and tannins beautifully combined with berry, fruity and spicy undertones.
The rich aroma of wine sweetish tones of wild berries, fruit jam, prunes, cherries and plums are balanced by soft notes of wood, spice and pepper.
The wine will be the perfect pair with meat, game, meat stews and cheeses.
