Frederic Magnien, Chassagne-Montrachet 1-er Cru "Baudines" AOC - elegant white wine, created from Chardonnay grape variety that grows in the vineyard Bodine. This terroir - the most exalted of all the Premiers Crus vineyards. It is located on the tops of hills in the south of the commune Chassagne-Montrachet at an altitude of 320 meters above sea level.
The vineyards are oriented to the southeast and has excellent exposure to sunlight. Height has a cold night during which reduces the accumulation of sugar grapes. This lengthens the ripening time and ensures sufficient acid content needed to balance the taste of wine. The local soils are made up of sandstone interspersed with marl gravel and clay. This soil is well drained, and grapes are not overloaded with water.
Chassagne-Montrachet Premiers Crus "Bodine" shows the color of sparkling gold and fruit and mineral flavor. Its taste juicy garden fruit blended with an oily texture. Impression of this noble beverage completes the delicate nuances of caramel in the finish.

With a few simple principles (control yield, the degree of grape maturity, slow malolactic fermentation) Frederick creates juicy, full, charming and delicious wines, which occupy a worthy place in the market. Also, Frederick works closely with growers of Burgundy and provides advice to improve the quality of the crop.
