Wine Fontodi, Chianti Classico is made from Sangiovese grapes harvested from its own vineyards Fontodi. Fondoti estate situated on a hill in the heart of the historic zone of Chianti Classico. The name "Fontodi" comes from the Latin "Fons-odi", meaning "a place with an abundance of water." The ancient Romans cultivated grapes here. Manetti family (owners of farms namesakes Montevertine) several centuries engaged in the production of Tuscan terracotta and pottery. In 1968, they bought a farm in Panzano.
