"Finca Valpiedra" Reserva - red wine from Tempranillo grapes with the addition of other Spanish varieties (Graciano and Maturana). Grapes are harvested from a unique vineyard class "Pago" - "Finca Valpiedra". The plot is located on the banks of the Ebro River in Rioja Alta. Soils are sandy, with a high content of calcium, rocky and pebble rocks. Harvested in mid-September and immediately processed, as the winery is located in the vineyard. Wort is fermented at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. Maceration lasts 24 days. Then the wine is aged 22 months in French oak barrels.
"Finca Valpiedra" Reserva is the owner of a large number of gold, silver and bronze medals received at prestigious international competitions.
Having a clear concept of producing wines from its own vineyards, Joaquín Martínez Bujanda founded the winery in 1889. In 1951, Familia Martinez Bujanda acquired the Cosecheros y Criadores plant, thereby expanding the range of products.
In 1997, the construction of the Finca Valpiedra plant, integrated into a unique landscape between Fuenmayor and Kenisero, begins. In 2009, the company launched a new project called Vina Bujanda.
For many years, the Bukhanda family explored the best terroirs and vineyards, selecting for their wines exceptional grapes. To date, the company's products are exported to many countries around the world, annually the wines win medals and awards at various local and international competitions.
