Wine Felton Road, "Block 2" Chardonnay, Central Otago, 2011
Reviews of purchase Felton Road, "Block 2" Chardonnay, Central Otago, 2011
The wine is golden-straw color with a slight greenish tinge.
The wine shows a deep, rich and fresh, wonderfully balanced flavor of medium density, in which the tone bright stone fruit and nuts perfectly emphasizes the elegant minerality and good acidity. The finish is long, pleasantly refreshing.
The multi-faceted bouquet of wine in harmony scents of apricot, orange, pink grapefruit and other citrus fruits, they are joined in the process of aeration bread crust notes, cashew nuts, toffee and allspice.
The wine perfectly complement the taste of fish dishes, white meats and seafood.

This region is characterized by a rather harsh continental climate and the grapes grown on the "verge" - on the verge of the lowest temperatures and the lowest rainfall compared with other areas of New Zealand. Nevertheless, it is here, on a small piece of land bounded by high mountains, produce the best wines from New Zealand Riesling, Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris.

Harvesting is carried out manually at the beginning of April. Wines made from the softest of all possible ways: on a three-level winery with gravitational forces, without excessive intervention mechanisms. Withstand the wine in oak barrels from Burgundy, the harvest is allocated for each 30% of new barrels. In 2002, the New Zealand branch of the organization "Demeter" certified winery Felton Road as a biodynamic.
