Interesting Facts
Since the acquisition of the winery Fazi Battaglia Francesco Angelini had an idea to create a red wine which have become the hallmark of the Marche region. Through hard work and numerous experiments about 30 years ago, the public was presented the wine "Rutilus". It is made from Sangiovese grapes grown in the area "Merganser". Berries are subjected to the traditional fermentation on the skins in steel tanks at controlled temperature for 10-15 days. Further maturation is carried out in the same tanks and lasts about 4 months. Thus was born a fresh, light wine with a concentrated aroma and balanced flavor, filled with hints of juicy red fruit.
Wine "Rutilus" has been repeatedly pointed out prizes in various competitions: the silver medal at the "Tasters Guild International Wine Judging" and a bronze medal at the "International Wine & Spirits Competition" in 2002; bronze medal at the "Decanter World Wine Awards" in 2004.

Fazi Battaglia history began in 1949 with a small winery in the Marche region, is issued only wine Verdicchio, which is now known throughout the world. This was made possible thanks to the courage and enterprising Francesco Angelini, who bought the winery Fernando Fazi Battaglia and Vittorio. He so believed in themselves that they laid the potential for further development still leads ahead already grandchildren Francesco. In 1953, Angelina was a competition for the best bottle of white wine. The winner was the architect Antonio Mayokki, developed the original design of the bottle, "amphora", echoing the shape of wine vessels of the ancient Etruscans. Sketch label was made famous master Bruno da Osimo. The first in a bottle of wine began to bottle "Titulus", which made it recognizable all over the world.
Increased demand for products Fazi Battaglia put the question on the need to expand production capacity, so in 1956 the company moved to a new location in Castelplanio (Province of Ancona) and acquired new vineyards in the area Classica dei Castelli di Jesi, the area which now amounts to 300 hectares.
