Fattoria di Travalda, Toscana is a dry wine made from red grapes grown in the small farm of Fattoria di Travalda. The grapes are harvested by hand in small boxes. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. This is followed by maceration for 20 days with stirring the wort every three days. Malolactic fermentation is carried out in new barriques. After aging in barriques for at least 18 months, the wine is bottled without filtration.
Fattoria di Travalda, Tuscany won silver and bronze medals at the competitions "Concours Mondial Bruxelles Challenge" and "International du vin Bordeaux".
Castellani is a family-owned winery, founded in 1903 in Italy. Since then, the economy has undergone many innovative changes and significant stages of development. To date, the vineyard area of the farm has more than 250 hectares of land in the most prestigious areas of Chianti Classico, Tuscany and the Pisa hills. For many years, Castellani has not used chemical fertilizers, various pesticides, and other harmful agents, both for humans and for nature. Thanks to such measures, their vineyards are environmentally friendly. Wine bottles are sealed with a cork stopper, which is constantly subjected to all sorts of technological analysis. At regular intervals, the company, at its discretion, selects a certain number of products and conducts destructive tests in order to identify and eliminate various possible defects.
The range of the company is wide and includes both classic Tuscan wines produced from Sangiovese and other grape varieties, as well as experimental rulers. In the results of studies that have published such famous world publications as the Financial Times and the Wall Street Journal, the Castellani company is on the list of the top 500 Italian companies!
