Reviews of purchase Falset Marca, "Etim" Negre, Montsant DO
A semi-transparent ruby-cherry wine with a purple tint.
The taste of wine is soft, roundish, dense, fruity, with good structure and balance, notes of wood and red berries in a pleasant aftertaste.
The harmonious aroma of wine is filled with hints of spices, eucalyptus, dry mint and the dominant notes of cherry and ripe red berries (strawberries, blackberries, currants).
Wine is recommended to combine with a wide range of dishes, in the best way it will emphasize the taste of red meat and mature cheeses.
Red dry wine "Etim" Negre is made from three varieties of grapes - Sira, Garnacha Tintorrera and Carignano, grown in the Catalan province of Monsant. The soil of the vineyards is calc-clay, with inclusions of granite. Grapes are going to early autumn in the stage of optimal ripeness. Vinification follows the traditional method of creating dry Spanish wines. After the end of alcoholic fermentation, the wine is sent to barrels from French and American oak, where it ripens for six months. Then the wine is decanted, passes through a light filtration, is bottled and for a while "rest" in the cellars of the winery.
In 2019, the Catalan winery Falset Marca will celebrate its 100th anniversary. The name of the cooperative has come from the connection of two municipalities of Catalonia - Falset and Marca, which are the vineyards and the production department of the company. The winery is an integral part of the economic heart of the region, one of the largest employers and taxpayers in the Monsant province. The philosophy of the winery is based on a careful attitude to all aspects of the production process, from the environment and the soil to the sociocultural ecosystem of the collective and the inhabitants of municipalities. Corporate social responsibility, which is so much talked about today, has become an inseparable part of the winery.
