Wine Esperance de Trotanoy, Pomerol AOC, 2016
Reviews of purchase Esperance de Trotanoy, Pomerol AOC, 2016
The wine has a dark ruby color.
Full-bodied, full-bodied wine with rich shades in the taste, silky tannins and a long finish.
The aroma of wine infused notes of minerals, underbrush, sweet black currant, black cherry jam, shades of color and graphite.
Wine is perfect for meat and poultry, as well as aged cheeses.
Chateau Trotanoy, 2009 - fabulous wine with a male character and the significant potential of storage (at least 25 years of age), which is a famous wine critic Robert Parker described as "extraordinary". The wine has a stunning bouquet, in which there are shades of cherry, cassis, truffles and spices.
Château Trotanoy - outstanding, one of the oldest Pomerol Chateau. It is believed that the name comes from the French chateau "trop-ennuie", which means "very annoying", and all because the soil of these vineyards is incredibly difficult to handle. Located near the farm Petrus, in the XVII century Chateau Trotanoy belonged to the family Giraud, who were the royal court. By the XIX century Château Trotanoy repeatedly recognized as one of the best. But during the Napoleonic Wars it was severely damaged. By 1953, the situation improved, when the owner of the winery was Jean-Pierre Mueks. Vineyards Château Trotanoy were among the few, not frozen icy winter of 1956, and today they are made from old vines, whose average age is 35 years. Today the company has 18 acres of land and produces about 25,000 bottles of wine per year. To this day, the winery is owned by Etablissements Jean-Pierre Moueix.
