Reviews of purchase "Edradour" 10 Years Old, gift box, 0.7 L
The taste of the whiskey of great complexity, with enticing notes of fruit, sherry, sweets, vanilla. In a warm aftertaste nuances spiced cake and pudding.
Whiskey and tempting sweet aroma, which is felt shades of rum, barley, toasted almonds.
Whiskey goes well with coffee, ice cream, fruit, biscuits, great as a standalone drink.
Edradour - the smallest plant in Scotland. It employs only 3 persons, made only twelve barrels of whiskey a week, an annual turnover of 90,000 liters. Edradour was founded in 1825 in the hills of Pitlochry in Perthshire in the Southern Highlands. Once upon a time in Perthshire was a lot of mini-distilleries, but has survived only Edradur. In 1982 the factory bought Concern "Pernod Ricard". Up until 2002, almost the entire crop plant used in the production of blended whiskey. At the same time the plant is experimenting with odnobochkovym whiskey with different finishes - Sauternes, Burgundy, Tokaj, and others. In 2006, released a new product - much peat whiskey "Ballechin".
"Edradour 10 Years Old" - a very interesting whiskey. Maturation in barrels of bourbon and sherry gives an unusual blend of characteristics. At some point, even the feeling that they are in conflict with each other. In fact, quite properly balanced whiskey is unique to your liking, festive, with deceptive ease, and even exceeding expectations after the first aromatic notes.
