Dow's Late-Bottled Vintage, 2008 - red sweet wine that is produced from grapes Turiga Nacional grown in the Douro Valley. This port is made from berries collected on the same bush as the vintage 2000. However, Dawes Leith Botled Vintage 2008 spent in oak barrels for over 5 years and has been subjected to filtration before bottling and pasting. It does not blame the ability to evolve in the bottle, so it is already immediately ready for use. Dow is famous for its vintage port, which over the years only get better. Over the past 110 years, was released only 28 vintage port. They are made in those years when I was a very high quality assembled grape harvest. At a young age, these very powerful port wines and tart, with violet aroma. After years of exposure, dense tannic structure of the wine softens the palate there are notes of spicy cinnamon, black pepper and dark chocolate. Dow products are exported to over 50 countries around the world. Wine "Dow's" received numerous awards at prestigious wine competitions.
In the XX century the company Dow's property became part of the famous family Symington, which manufactures port with the XIX century. Winemakers Symington family have always worked in the vineyards of the Dow today cherish the legacy of the famous house, creating a gorgeous, concentrated wine in a recognizable style of "Dow's".
