Magic white wine Puligny-Montrachet 1-er Cru "Les Folatieres" made from Chardonnay grapes that grow on the same vineyard, located in the heart of Puligny-Montrachet. According to one version, the name comes from the vineyard "folles terres", which means "land of disappearing." According to another legend, "Folatieres" comes from the old French word "Foletiere" - a place that is inhabited by goblins, ghosts, gnomes and other legendary creatures. Château de Puligny-Montrachet belongs to a tiny area of 0.52 hectares. The harvest in 2010 was held from 21 September to 1 October. After a traditional vinification wine is aged in barrels, of which 20% - new. Potential wine Puligny-Montrachet 1-er Cru "Les Folatieres" is 5-10 years.

Chateau de Puligny-Montrachet - a beautiful mansion, built in the XVII century on the outskirts of Meursault and restored Jean-Baptiste d'Esdouhard, who was in the days of the Empire example of Beaune and the head of Côte d'Or. For 40 years, since 1950, the poet and winemaker Roland Thevenin develops wine production Château de Puligny-Montrachet, Burgundy increasing reputation. In 2002, Etienne Monte ( Domaine De Montille ) became director of the Domaine du Chateau de Puligny-Montrachet. Applying the principles of biodynamic wine production, he changed the manufacturing technology, thereby vyvev it to a new level.
