Tasting Notes
The wine has a straw yellow color with greenish tints.

Wonderful dry white wine Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru "Clos Saint-Jean" 2011 is made from Chardonnay grapes, grown up not far from the village of Chassagne in Burgundy, whose name translates as "the area with oaks." It has a favorable climate for planting grapes, soil composition and location. Here are born really unparalleled wine with great mineral qualities. The ancient and highly respected winery Domen Tenar based family Tenar (Thenard) in 1842, is located in a small and very picturesque village of Givry in Burgundy. Over the past few decades the estate to sell their products NEGOTIANT - Houses Roland Remuassone. Their wines are bottled under the label "Thenard" only for private clients, such as Charles de Gaulle and the Papacy. In 2005, when negotsiantsky Remuassone House was sold to a group of investors from North America, Domain Tenar decided to start releasing more wines under their own label.
In 1872, Paul Thenard buy two large plot Montrachet total area of 1.86 hectares. For comparison, the largest site in Montrachet, the size of 2.06 hectares, belongs to the Marquis de Lagishu. The third largest owner in Montrachet - Bouchard Pere e Fiss with 0.89 hectares. In the XX century to the possessions of Domaine Thenard were added Grand Cru vineyards - Clos du Roi (0.9 ha) and in Corton Grand Eshezo (0.54 ha) in Flagey. These Burgundian vineyards acquired Tenar family are the most important, but the heart of the Domain is in the village of Givry. The village of Givry, retaining its medieval appearance, is famous for its ancient traditions of winemaking and has an excellent reputation for wines manufactured and are mostly red. Domain Tenar whose cellar construction of the XVIII century located in the heart of the village, has some of the best sites Givry.
