Reviews of purchase Domaine Raspail-Ay, Gigondas AOC, 2007
The wine is a deep dark garnet color
In full-bodied, rich and well-balanced wines with soft tannins complement each other notes of red berries, spice and oak. In the aftertaste, mild nuances of vanilla.
Rich aroma of wine demonstrates tones of spices, raspberries and red fruit, to which are added nuances of oak.
The wine is perfect as an aperitif, complement dishes such as venison stew of tender meat or rabbit stew Provencal, potato dishes and snacks as would be the best ham and aged cheeses.
Domaine Raspail-Ay is a family company that revere the tradition of wine production. Vineyards farms are located at the foot of the mountain ranges Montmiray, so this creates an ideal microclimate that allows the grapes to ripen slowly and evenly. Soils are limestone, clay and small pebbles, which gives the wine a particular domain refinement and sophistication.
The world-famous wine critic Robert Parker said about Domain Raspail-Ay: "Sure, Dominic Ai creates a textbook Zhigondas. Saturated color, sharpness taste, raspberry flavor, full-bodied, dense structure and effective, pleasant spirituoznost articulate a detailed school wine appellation."
