The wine has a full, balanced flavor with notes of red fruits and earth, with ripe tannins and concise aftertaste.

Interesting Facts
In its blend of Volnay AOC 1er Cru "Santenots" combines harvest Pinot Noir with twenty vines growing on stony ground near Volnay, and grapes from old vines of 60-70 year olds, planted on clay soil in the vineyard towards the Mersey. This connection gives grace in the attack (from old vines) and the power and the length of the final (due to young vines).
Vintage Wine Volnay Premiers Crus "Santa" is assembled by hand in small boxes. Fermentation lasts about ten days, and made stamping wort pump pumping. Then the wine is aged in oak barrels, 50% of which - the new, for 18 months in the traditional Burgundy since the nineteenth century vaulted cellar. Bottling is done without fining and filtration. Wine storage capacity is 8-10 years.
Nicolas Rossignol was born in 1974 to a family of winemakers, four generations who for many years worked in the vineyards of the commune Volnay. Received in 1994 the college Bona specialty enologist, he gets practical experience in wineries of France and South Africa. In 1997, Nicolas Rossignol creates its own domain on the basis of 3 hectares of vineyards located in Pommard, Volnay, Corton, Bonnes and Aloxe Pernand Vergelesses. However, he continues to engage in parallel and marketing of wines in the family Domaine Rossignol Jeanniard. To date, Domaine Nicolas Rossignol owns 6.25 hectares of vineyards, work on which is carried out in accordance with the biodynamic calendar.
