Tasting Notes
Wine of deep ruby red color with garnet-purple reflections.
Very fresh, velvety taste wine with subtle tannins and elegant notes of fruit are felt slightly menthol flavor.
The wine has a delicate, subtle, ethereal aroma with floral notes that as tasting gradually flow into tones of ripe cherries.
Wine is perfect for red meat and game, as well as cheeses.

Wine "Volnay-Santenots Premier Cru" from Domaine Jacques Prieur is made from grapes grown in the vineyard appellations Volnay Premier Cru Controlee in Meursault. The vineyard covers an area of 0.56 hectares, grown Chardonnay for white wines and Pinot Noir, from which the wonderful cuvée Volne Santa. This terroir, lit by sunlight from morning to evening, produces charming wine with a bouquet of luxury and noble tannins. For wine Volne Santa Premiers Crus grapes are harvested by hand, then manually berries are moving and are separated from the ridges. Fermentation lasts about 21 days in open wooden vats at a controlled temperature. During the active phase of alcoholic fermentation mass 2 times a day mixed. The wine undergoes a secondary malolactic fermentation. Wine is aged for 17 months in new oak barrels, then bottled in traditional Burgundy bottle type "sommelier". The wine is ready to drink, and can be stored for 6-7 years after bottling.
