Reviews of purchase Domaine Jacques Prieur, Meursault "Clos de Mazeray" Blanc, 2008, 375 ml
Wine beautiful color "white gold" with gray-silver sheen.
The wine has a well balanced, refreshing taste with notes of citrus, pear, flowers and hazelnut, with a bitter aftertaste hints of grapefruit.
The elegant aroma of the wine and citrus notes are felt shades of the forest.
The wine goes well with fish dishes, seafood, white meat poultry, and soft cheeses.
White wine Meursault "Clos de Mazeray" from Domaine Jacques Prieur is made from Chardonnay grapes grown in the vineyard, which is a private monopoly economy. The vineyard is surrounded by an old stone wall, located on the outskirts of the village of Meursault on the site of an ancient river bed on the clay-limestone soil. The vineyard was created by the hands of monks from the monastery of Citeaux, located nearby. Since ancient times, are produced excellent red and white wines. For the production of wine "Meursault Clos de Mazere" the grapes are harvested by hand, then the entire bunches are placed in pneumatic press. Alcoholic fermentation and aging of wine in oak barrels are held, of which 30% - new. The wine undergoes a secondary malolactic fermentation and then aged for 18 months and then bottled in traditional Burgundy bottles. The wine is ready to drink, and can be stored for 6-7 years after bottling.
History of Domain Jacques Priёr (Domaine Jacques Prieur), based in the heart of Meursault, originated in 1898. This quote is particularly true of Jacques Priёra and history Domain whose wine and family traditions are a perfect illustration of the Burgundian character.

However, even the most delightful terroir - nothing without the expertise and passion of man. From the beginning, the family responsible for the domain, provide the best care and attention in order to preserve the vineyards of the soil and create ideal conditions for vines. All the vineyards are processed in accordance with the principles of organic farming. Grapes from each plot vinified separately to preserve all of the unique characteristics. Today Domain manages Jean-Pierre La Bruyere La Bruyere and Edward, as well as Martin Priёr. Domain is a highly respected winemaker Nadine Gyublen, received in 1997 the title of "Winemaker of the Year" from the "Revue du Vin de France".
Martin Priёr determines the winery philosophy as follows: "... The quality of wine depends largely on the quality of grapes: only ripe and healthy berries can have a truly great wine. ... Last time we practice the so-called method of viticulture raisonnee (reasonable viticulture) which, in conjunction with the biodynamic method has allowed us to achieve an optimal balance between the produced wines and grapes are grown.
