The wine factory "Dionisos-Mereni" is located 25 km from Chisinau, in the village of Mereny Noi. This part of Moldova is famous for its landscape and ideal conditions for the cultivation of grapes. It is here that more than half of the country's vineyards are concentrated. The plant was built in the middle of the XX century, in 1959 and was a part of the Moldovan wine and wine making system. For many years, the factory produced high-quality wine materials, which were later directed to bottling enterprises located in the former Soviet republics. In 1995, the winery started global changes: privatization, the name change to Dionisos-Meren, the installation of a new Italian filling line Techno Food, the reorientation of the enterprise to the production of bottled products.
Today the plant is completely modernized. The processes of growing grapes - from caring for the vine to harvesting - are done without the use of machinery, only by hand. This requires technology to produce high-quality "Dionysos-Mereni" wines.
