Interesting Facts
Curatolo Arini, Marsala Secco - high-quality, noble dry Marsala, made from selected native white grape varieties (Inzolia, Grillo, Catarratto) grown in the western part of Sicily. After traditional fermentation and strengthening with grape spirit, the wine is aged for 18 months in oak barrels. Dry Marsala is recommended to be served chilled at the beginning of the meal or used in cooking.
Producer's description
Curatolo Arini Winery was founded in 1875 by Vito Curatolo Arini. Thanks to the vision of Vito Curatolo Arini and his passion for the largely unknown and, of course, undervalued wine of Marsala, he became the first exporter of premium Marsala to Europe, the USA and South America. Currently, the wineries are managed by representatives of the fifth generation of the Kuratolo family, which makes it the oldest family-owned company for the production of Marsala. The stunning labels of the company's wines were designed by Ernesto Basile, a famous architect from Palermo at the end of the 19th century, many of them created in the art deco style. The range of wines of the company demonstrates the excellent expression of native Sicilian varieties grown in various parts of Sicily.
