Syrah for "Crozes-Hermitage" Les Mason "collected from vines aged at least 25 years old. They grow on the hills with gentle slopes facing south. The soil is layered, consisting of a mixture of clay, pebbles and gravel. Harvested by hand reaches berry optimum maturity. "Crozes-Hermitage" vinified in the traditional way, then a quarter of the wine is aged in oak barrels higher for 12 months, then blended and bottled.

The largest estate of the family Shaputier is in the Hermitage.
