Interesting Facts
In the southern part of the Rhone Valley, between the rivers and the foothills of the Cotes du Rhone vineyards produce a delightful landscape with fields and sunlit plains. To the north of the department of Vaucluse, near the historic village of Camaret is farm Domain du Vieux Shen. The soil is typical for this region, rocky, warms up quickly in the sun, ideal for ripening grapes for quality wine. Jean-Claude Bush (Jean Claud Bouche) founded the winery in 1978. In 1990, he was joined by his wife, Beatric, and now the two of them run a small family domain of 50 hectares, where mostly grow grapes grenache and syrah, which is made from red wine farms and other varieties, of which a small amount of white is made .
Jean-Claude Bush seeks to give each wine its rounded, full-bodied taste and the ability to slow shutter speeds. In the winery all performed so as to maintain the high quality wines and optimize the process of making wine. The main criterion is to preserve the flavor and aroma of the terroir. Therefore, they offer wine, as much as possible reflect the slightest nuances of the local soil and climate.
