The wine shows a pale straw color.
The wine has a light, refreshing, bright, juicy, harmonious taste with notes of lime, lemon and green apple, crisp acidity and a long finish with a spicy sourness.
The wine seduces with a fresh citrus bouquet, beautifully framed by notes of green apple, pears and gooseberries.
Wine is recommended as an aperitif, as well as fish dishes, seafood and crustaceans.
Connoisseur, "L'Esprit du Large" Colombard-Sauvignon Blanc - an exquisite dry white wine made from Colombard and Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown on clay-calcareous soils in Côte de Gascogne. The name of the "Connoisseur" line is translated from French as "connoisseur, connoisseur" and is intended for sophisticated wine lovers. The name of the wine is translated from French as "the spirit of the great, grandiose", and personifies the great strength of the spirit of the Gascon and the huge potential of local wines. Grapes are harvested mechanically at night, during cool hours, to preserve all the aromas of the fruits. Vinification takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The wine is aged on a noble sediment for 3 months.
Family Familles Jegerlehner et Prataviera has been working in the vineyards of Gascony for almost a century. Three generations of the family invested a lot of energy and labor to create elegant wines from grapes with an exceptional terroir. It all began in 1920, when the Swiss wine grower Jean François Morel settled in Gascony and began to grow grapes. Then his estate occupied 10 hectares. In 1960, his daughter Denise and her husband Jean Zhegenerer settled in the estate. Their common passion for winemaking allowed to expand the area of vineyards and build new cellars of the winery.
In 1988, the daughter of Denise and Jean-Elizabeth, the enologist for education, began to manage the family business, just like the parents who are in love with vineyards and wine. She was helped by her husband - Henri Pratavier. Couple very quickly turned real estate into a large Domain, which has about 150 hectares of vineyards, classified as Côtes de Gascogne IGP. Today, the annual volume of Domain's production is more than 1300000 bottles, of which about 50% are exported. The company's range of wines and armagnacs is divided into three brands: Domain O Marin, Domain de Menard and Chateau Menard. The company Zemerlener e Pratavier relies on his development, progresses, modernizes and extends his fame.
