Reviews of purchase Clos Fourtet 1-er Grand Cru Classe, 2006
Wine dense purple color.
Wine average density with well-textured, silky and fresh berry flavor, with some degree of sweetness and moderate tannins in the finish.
In the sweet aroma of wine trapped notes of blackberry, dark fruit, acacia flowers, chocolate, spices, charcoal and oak tones.
The wine is recommended to serve red meat, game and cheeses.
Winery Clos Furth, located in Saint-Emilion, until 2001, belonged to a prominent family Lurton. Then it was bought by the Parisian businessman Philip Kyuvele, who is also the owner of Château Puzho in Moulis-en-Medoc and Château Léoville Poyferre in Saint-Julien. 25-year-old vineyards with a total area of 25 hectares, grown on clay-limestone soils give great wines. Thanks vinification methods used in farming, produce high-quality wines: green harvesting harvest, fermentation in stainless steel tanks, malolactic fermentation in barriques, aging in new barrels. "Clos Furth - a wine that should be monitored and be sure to purchase" - Robert Parker.
