Producer's description
Chateau La Bastide RougePeyre is an old estate in Languedoc-Roussillon, the history of which dates back to the beginning of the 13th century. Its first owner was the Occitan Lord, Roger-Pierre de Cabaret, whose name gave the name of the Rouge-Per fortress and the wine region of Kabarda. Since the 17th century, the castle has been owned by the count family Dominique de Lorgeril. In 2006, the ninth generation descendants of de Lorgeril took control of the winery. They took an active part in the life of the farm, undertaking the reconstruction and improvement of the old family vineyards. It is also planned to reconstruct the wine cellar and the administrative building of the company.
