Reviews of purchase Chateau de Fonbel, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru AOC, 2012
Wine of deep ruby color.
The taste of wine - full, balanced, elegant, with notes of dark berries and a long, enveloping finish.
The aroma of the wine reveals notes of dark berries, acacia flowers and nuances of rubble.
Wine combined perfectly with spicy aromatic dishes of veal and beef, cheeses with noble mold and mature cheeses.
Chateau de Fonbel 2011 - is excellent, amazing concentration of wine Grand Cru Class, has a deep aroma and full, refined taste. The wort was fermented in stainless steel vats with controlled temperature, and then kept in oak wine barrels (20% - new) for 10 months.
Owner of the castle is Fonbel oenologist - Alan Vauthier, who is also co-owner of Chateau Ausone (Chateau Ozone). Its merit is that it thanks to his outstanding knowledge and leadership raised the quality of the wine at a fairly high level. In 1993 he was awarded the Chateau Fonbel classification St. Emilion Grand Cru. Production capacity: 80,000 bottles a year.
