In early 2008, was a warm day, a removable cool and rainy spring (such weather continued until the beginning of flowering). The summer was dry, cool August - it allowed the grapes to dial an excellent concentration of flavor and aroma. Ripened harvest in September and October, which gives a very warm in terms of weather. Berries were thick-skinned, with great potential depth of color and tannins. The harvest lasted from 9 to 21 October, and Cabernet Sauvignon was finally assembled only on November 1st. It was the late harvest in Troplon Mondo for the past 20 years. In 2008, first used cellar with conical tanks and control the room temperature. In all there were 70,000 bottles of the drink.

After the death of Raymond Troplona in 1869, the estate passed into the hands of his nephew Edward Troplona, which added to the title of "Mondo" his name. In the beginning of XX century Chateau has sold the family Valette. Head of the family - Alexander Valette, a Parisian wine merchant - at the time already owned Château la France in Fronsac and soon acquired the Château Pavie. In 1980, management took over Chateau eldest daughter of Alexander - Christina, who together with her husband constantly improved the vineyard, cellar and chateau. This hard work and tremendous efforts and efforts were appreciated, when in 2006 Château Troplon Mondo has been awarded the status of Premiers Grands Crus class.
Vineyards Chateau is located in the south-eastern part of the plateau, on a steep slope and extended south to the border with the region of Pavie.
