Reviews of purchase Chateau Troplong Mondot, 1998
The wine has a very dark purple, almost black.
The taste of wine is very dense, rich and pure, fresh and elegant, filled with tones of ripe blackberries and blueberries, shades of leather and tobacco.
The aroma of wine is dominated by floral tones. Also present nuances of blueberry, blackberry, licorice, vanilla, truffle and graphite.
Wine matches perfectly with roasted potatoes and turnips, with wild rice, vegetarian pizza, potato salad with peas with pork belly "pancetta" cake with brown sugar and sweet baked vegetables.
