Wine Chateau Tёle - a typical representative of red Bordeaux wines, famous throughout the world. In his taste through the powerful varietal characteristics of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon perfectly expressed the terroir of Bordeaux. This is confirmed by the words of the famous wine critic Robert Parker, who said: "I have been following this manor for two decades, and this is one of the most reliable sources of basic Bordeaux."
The grapes for "Chateau Thieuley" grown on clay and gravel, slightly acidic soils. Stocking density of vines is 6,000 plants per hectare. After harvesting grapes is pre cold maceration during three days and alcoholic fermentation at a temperature of 25 ° C in stainless steel tanks. Maceration lasts 15 to 21 days. Wine "Chateau Thieuley" has won many awards. In particular, the 2006 vintage was awarded the Gold Medal at the "Concours General Agricole de Paris 2008". Vintage 2007 awarded a gold medal at the "Mondial de Bruxelles 2009" and bronze in the "Challenge International du vin de Bourg 2009". Vintage 2008 won the gold medal at the exhibition "Challenge International du Vin 2010" as well as the Silver Medal at the "Concours de Bordeaux Vins d'Aquitaine 2010". A vintage 2005 won two silver medals at the competition "Challenge International du Vin 2007" and "Mondial of Bruxelles 2007".
Winery Chateau Thieuley was founded in 1950 when Andre Courcelles bought a small estate Chateau Tёle, located 20 km south of the city of Bordeaux, in the commune of Owls (Entre-Deux-Mer). 22 years later, in 1972, the farm management passed to his son Francis Courcelle, professional oenologist. Over the next 30 years the area of local vineyards grown quite significantly - from 4 to 80 ha, which are now distributed among the three estates: Chateau Thieuley, Clos St Anne and Chateau St Genes. Now Francis gradually transfers the case to his daughters Mary and Sylvia, who, judging by the latest vintage, disappointing his father. The farm Chateau Tёley produces high quality wine basic level, it is considered one of the best Bordeaux wines in the category of "price-quality".
