Reviews of purchase Chateau Prieure-Lichine, Margaux AOC, 2001
The wine is dark ruby color with garnet undertones.
Excellent wine with a rich flavor, filled with flavors of black and red currant, cherry, raspberry, leather, tobacco, spices, with smooth tannins and a long finish.
Bunch of wine sounds appealing aromas of ripe fruit, rhubarb, tobacco, spices, vanilla, leather and light notes of chocolate.
Wine is the perfect partner for red meat, game, vegetables and homemade cakes.
To create a wine Chateau Priyёre-Lichine 2001 used only the ripe berries. Therefore, the harvest was carried out in several stages: Merlot - from 1 to 6 October, Petit Verdot - October 6, and Cabernet Sauvignon - from 7 to 12 October. Sorting and picking grapes were manually. To save the fantastic flavor fermentation was carried out at a temperature of 26-27 ° C. Kept the wine in oak barriques.
The origin of the castle Chateau Prieure-Lichine dates back to the sixteenth century, when the monks of the Benedictine Abbey of Vertheuil have created the vineyard Prieure. Initially focused on the cultivation of varieties, rather than the production of wine. In 1951, the land acquired author of the famous "World Encyclopedia of Wine" Alexis Lichine. Until 1999 Chateau belonged to his son. The next owner was the family Ballande, who invited for the world famous oenologist Michel Rolland. At Chateau Priyёre-Lichine also produced the second wine "Cloitre de Prieure-Lichine" and dry white wine "Blanc de Prieure-Lichine". All wine farms are exceptionally delicious.
