Tasting Notes
Wine of deep red color with ruby reflections.
The taste of wine is smooth, elegant and balanced, decorated with juicy notes of fruit, chocolate and truffles. Wine average density, with light tannins and a sweet aftertaste.
The aroma of wine there are notes of black currants, blackberries and blueberries combined with spicy and earthy hues.
The wine goes well with cheeses saturated strong taste, ham, stew with heavy aromatic sauces.
Interesting Facts
Chateau Piney, 2009 - red dry wine with soft and elegant taste. Prior to bottling the wine is aged for about 12 months in oak barrels (of which one-third of new ones). Before serving, pour the recommended wine in the decanter and let it breathe a couple of hours.
At the competition "Concours Mondial de Bruxelles" in 2012 vintage 2009 won the silver medal.
Pinya Chateau and its vineyards belonging to the class of Grand Cru, located in the region of Saint-Emilion. The grapes are harvested by hand at the Chateau and wine production are carefully selected the best grapes. The idea of wine masters was to create a wine with rich fruit bouquet in a modern style, but preserving the character and traditions of the area. Vines aged about 35 years allow to obtain intense, rich and complex wine. 55% of blended wine takes Merlot. The remainder of the split between the two varieties - Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Producer's description
In 1986, the society purchased the automatic reception of grapes to hold separate vinification harvest 60 different Chateau representing the cooperative half of its production, as well as commercial brands. Was also set the unit to provide full control of each fermentation tank and improve the extraction of pigments and tannins. In addition to this setting, all the tanks were connected to the inert gas system, which protects against oxidation of the raw material. In early 2002, the cooperative moved to a completely renovated room with new cellars for aging wines and automated bottling line speed of 9,000 bottles per hour, satisfying all the requirements of safety and hygiene.
