Nice garnet-ruby color of medium intensity.
Elegant, soft and fragrant taste at the beginning turns into a sweet satin, leaves the impression of Command and intransigence, developing into a long aftertaste with gorgeous velvety tannins. The taste of wine is perfectly structured, executed in perfect style.
Contrast bouquet wine combines the flavors of charred new oak, minerals, bitter cocoa, sweet tobacco and coffee, along with berries, soft black currant and exotic spices.
Perfect for meat dishes - especially venison, grilled meat, poultry, as well as aged cheeses and pates.
Interesting Facts
The name of the area where the chateau - Pomerol - comes from the Latin "apple orchard", as in Roman times the area was planted with apple orchards, and only later (the first written sources are found as early as the 18th century), these lands were planted with vineyards.
The farm The Village Chateau Petit has a vineyard area of 11 hectares, surrounded by impressive historic buildings that form a courtyard. Plantings of grapes are in the shape of a triangle, among grape varieties - Merlot (75%), Cabernet Sauvignon (17%) and Cabernet Franc (8%). The soils are composed of gravel, are deeper layers of chalk and clay. Harvested by hand and passes the double triage (selection). The wine is fermented in stainless steel at a controlled temperature for 2-3 weeks. After that, the wine is poured into oak barriques where it is aged 12-18 months. The Village Chateau Petit is the main wine produced by this economy (about 3,500 bottles a year), the second wine is Le Jardin de Petit Village (around 1,300 bottles per year).
